I am looking to purchase my first YSL bag (Loulou) and cannot for the life of me tell the difference between the Matelasse "Y" Leather vs the Y-Quilted Leather. I have looked at various colours to spot the difference but I could not. I am eyeing a suede YSL bag in brown. Does anyone own suede from YSL or from other luxury brands? How is the wear and tear. Are they hardy/long. The preferred finish is supple, ever so slightly distressed leather, which gives it a bit of a vintage feel. It also features the brand's trademark chain-link strap, a fold-over flap, and a YSL logo on the front.

Zegna, Armani, Seraphin, Valentino, Malo, D&G, etc also do high quality leather jackets. For a good deal less money, Schott Bros, for instance, do nice leather jackets.
