In my years of owning multiple Rolex models, I have noted a couple of seemingly common quality control issues that continue to exist. The first issue relates to dial quality. That said, from my experience owning 12 Rolex watches they are really good QC and the only consistent "issue" I've seen is a spec of dust / lume on the dial always on or near the applied coronet (not sure if there is an electrostatic reason for this or if it's just a coincidence). I couldn't not see it whenever I looked at the watch and that, coupled with the hand misalignment, drove me nuts and really affected my ability to enjoy my first Rolex. I dropped off the two-week old watch 22 days ago at my AD and they immediately sent it . Rolex is having more QC issues more and more. I wonder if the building they are in are well ventilated or there is no ventilation filter dust. I am sure some rolex fans will defend this.

We monitored returns and found that Rolex watches rarely ever came back with issues. In fact, we would be more confident selling a 50-year-old Rolex than a recent model from some other brands. To attain such a reputation for quality is no small feat. It has nothing to do with Rolex's QC. If you don't buy it off an official store, there's a chance of getting a replica or high copy instead of the real one.
